Barbie’s Braided Ava DuVernay doll is priceless!

No really, there is no price on the specially manufactured sheroes dolls Mattel made and unveiled officially at the Monday April 27th Variety Power of Women Luncheon in conjunction with National Shero Day.

Among them is Selma director Ava DuVernay in BRAIDS!! The braids are easier to replicate DuVernays locs.

Woot!

The others include  Shameless actress Emmy Rossum, Broadway sprite Kristin Chenoweth, country star Trisha Yearwood, Lucky editor-in-chief Eva Chen, and five-year-old fashion designer Sydney “Mayhem” Keiser.

The purpose of this campaign is to empower young girls to continue achieving anything they want, while also honoring and celebrating women who have surpassed expectations on their own volition.

“Barbie has always represented that girls have choices, and this Spring we are proud to honor six Sheroes who through their trade and philanthropic efforts are an inspiration to girls,” said Barbie’s General Manager Evelyn Mazzocco in the press release. “Started by a female entrepreneur and mother, this brand has a responsibility to continue to honor and encourage powerful female role models who are leaving a legacy for the next generation of glass ceiling breakers.”
