I got my hair rebraided this week and one of the things I really appreciated was the fact that I had a relatively easy time taking out the large marley twists I had in my hair before this style.
I know a lot of people dislike wearing their hair in braided extensions because of all the time it takes to put in and take out. Smaller individual micro braids can be the most time consuming to remove. The price varies for this service by region. My stylist only charges about $20 extra for medium braids.
Don’t be discouraged. There is a method to the madness and can lessen the strain and time.
One easy thing to do, if you can afford it, is to hire the braid stylist to remove them. She can do the job more quickly and knows the best technique for most efficient removal.
A second thing to do is adhere to the many tutorials in YouTube, DailyMotion and other video sharing apps that are out there.
I found hair blogger and vlogger Breanna Rutter‘s tutorial for taking out braids to be tops. Here is the one she did for box braids but if you go to the YouTube version of this tutorial, you will see the other similar videos for other styles. Good luck!
