SUMMER BRAID MAINTENANCE

Now that you’ve put your hair in box braids or poetic justice locs, how do you maintain that new braid look?

The obvious is to cover and moisturize. Covering your braids at night prevents flyaway hair strands from unraveling and it keeps dust from getting in between the plaits. Moisturizing your scalp is key. Now that your scalp is exposed, it will become dry. Natural moisturizers like coconut oil will create a nice shine in your braids and prevent flaking.

Like any hairstyle, braids takes maintenance. Cheers!
