De-Mystifying the difference between Marley and Kanekalon Hair

Did you know that Marley twists, Puffy Twists, Kinky Twists and Senegalese twists are different styles? Also, there are different types of hair that can be intertwined with each. Like Kanekalon and Marley Hair will have a different look and depending on which type or texture you use, your hair may be thicker and fuller or may fall along your back or frame your face.

If you want to mimic a style you’ve seen on another person, on TV or a magazine, you need to make sure you understand the specific type of hair and the name of the hair. Marley and Kanekalon are both synthetic, but one is slightly more straighter and thus works better with box braids and Senegalese twists.

The rougher textured Marley hair is popular with crochet braids. Some of it can be confusing.
