So we might be late to the game, but we just noticed that CORNROWS was the trending style for models during the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 Fashion week season.

Fendi, Valentino, Marchesa, Alexander McQueen, Kenzo and others all dolled up their models’ hair in an assortment of cornrow styles.

Models in Alexander McQueen’s Paris Fashion Week show 2014 wore circular cornrows.

It’s not just  New York Fashion Week, but worldwide. They were spotted on the runways in London, Paris and other cities.

We at JJ Braids love seeing this “trend” since we know how easy and versatile braids and cornrows are for any fashion style.

We just wished that these same high fashion houses would employ more women of color in their shows, and not just in the hairstyle which originated and are traditionally worn among women of color, particularly black women. le sigh.

And we noticed that Harper’s Bazaar online published a tutorial for accomplishing the look for its readers.

What do you think about this look for models? Are you flattered or offended?
